3 Career Areas:

 To start this module, I have thought about what careers would interest me and how would I go about getting these types of careers. Each chosen career/ company will have their own requirements.


Publishing- being an Illustrator for children's books. The company that I've researched into is Penguin Random House. By looking at the companies website, I have found out that Penguin have work experience programmes. 


Character Design- Creating character designs for animated films, tv shows and adverts interests me. The company that I have researched is Aardman. Aardman do show job opportunities on their social media pages and their website. I've looked into what requirements would be needed to be able to get noticed by this company. Also, there are tips given to help get readers noticed. 

Requirements/ advice:

- Start making contacts 

- Get noticed by showing your talent


Animator- working within an animation studio or being an animator for films, tv shows and adverts. The animation studio that interests me is Walt Disney Studios. Their website gives requirements on what they are looking for from employees. Such as:

- Suggesting interns and apprentice programmes

-Work will only be reviewed online. Work including: your portfolio, resume, reel and shot breakdown. 


This research has been helpful as it has allowed me to think about what interests me and what goals i want to achieve.
