  • Find out what motivates me
  • Study anatomy and textures
  • Create backstories for my characters 
  • Think about colour scheme
  • Keep practicing 
How to improve my character drawing form:

  • Take life drawing lessons
  • Practice drawing parts of the body that I find challenging. Such as hands
  • Visit museums and zoos. Practice drawing animals
  • Draw whilst I'm out and about. On the bus, in a cafe etc.
Archetypes:
Draw characters with different archetypes. Such as:

  • The hero
  • The villain
  • The jester
  • The explorer
  • The Sage/ Harold
  • The caregiver 
Think about shape Language:

  • Circle- Soft, friendly, approachable
  • Square- Strong, supportive,  reliable
  • Triangle- Sharp, dangerous, unpredictable
Know my character:

  • Personality
  • Emotion 
  • What the face expressions and poses say about them
  • Is my character readable based on it's silhouette
